Klostertal Museum
The Klostertal Museum in Wald am Arlberg opened in 1994 and is housed in the former "Thöny-Hof". The eventful history of the estate can be traced back to its construction around the middle of the 17th century. The farm was inhabited and farmed until 1959. In its originality and with its rich furnishings, the farm is particularly suitable for conveying knowledge about and a feeling for the life of farmers under the difficult living conditions in the Klostertal.
The Klostertal Museum has set itself the task of bringing the history of the valley closer to the local population and guests. The main focus of the museum is on the real history of the valley: Rural living and working; history, social history and artistic personalities; transport history, Arlberg railway, post office and tourism. In addition, special exhibitions on changing themes are shown.
