Lech Museum Culture on the Hiking Trail
Hofwüstung Schöneberg und Wang-Hus At the beginning of the 20th century, house no. 2/4 on Schöneberg, which is first mentioned in written sources in the 15th century, was demolished. In 2012, the wall remains of the courtyard deserted were archaeologically investigated. The special feature is a covered connecting passage running underground between the house and the stable. This was restored in the course of the archaeological investigation and can be visited today.
The "Wang-Hus" is one of the oldest houses on the Tannberg and its core dates back to the late 15th or early 16th century. The mountain farmhouse got its name from its location on a small plain on a sunny slope. It is not a museum in the original sense, but since its restoration in 1998 it has been open to the public as a historical monument. Both monuments can only be reached on foot in summer and can be visited free of charge. The stable of the "Wang-Hus" can be visited at any time. The Schöneberg farm desert only after mowing from August.
