Zürs - Flexenpass - Zürs
The cross-country skiing route is suitable for moderately advanced cross-country skiers and winter hikers. The well-prepared cross-country ski trail over a high plateau to the Flexenpass (1.773m) and back to Zürs is an insider's tip for those who are looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from busy cross-country ski trails.
The somewhat challenging route Zürs - Flexenpass - Zürs is ideal for advanced cross-country skiers and winter hikers. Starting from Trittkopfbahn 1, follow the well-prepared cross-country trail and winter hiking trail south towards Flexenpass. Here you can either take a break in the rustic Flexenhäusl or follow the route further south. After the path makes a generous loop, the hilly route leads back to Zürs.
Directions
Starting from the Trittkopfbahn 1, you follow the best adapted path towards Flexenpass. Due to the southern orientation of the trail you can enjoy the sunshine on your varied route. After a generous loop, the trail takes you back to Zürs am Arlberg via the hilly cross-country ski trail.
As the cross-country trail includes several sections uphill and downhill, it is not recommended for beginners.
Suggestions
The ideal spot to stop for a bite to eat is the rustic and cosy Flexenhäusl, directly on the pass summit, with home-style home cooking and fondue specialities.
